Royal Nightmare?

When I started my website back in 2006 I came up with the name »Cycosmos«, because I was fascinated by the outer space. Stars and the space, as well as robots and cyborgs. After having that name for a while I realized that name was already taken by a german record company for an artificial musician called »E-Cyas« who had one single in the charts in 1999 (for everyone who’s interested, here’s the song @ Youtube), so I thought about a new name: a name that hasn’t been taken yet.

At that time we had a task at school, to come up with a name for a fictional company we would want to run. We had to design business cards and papers in several designs, and me and a studyfriend of mine brainstormed for names. On the list where (among others) Nightmare Industry, Nightmare Design, Royal Destruction, Destrukktion Design and Royal Nightmare. From all those names I really fell in love with »Royal Nightmare«. So I made designs for the business cards und finally took that name for my website as well. It just fits perfectly. A mixture of two oppostites, two elements that normally don’t match.

A digital realm somewhere inbetween darkness and light. Between monsters and fairytales, amongst killers and angels. A dark circus with colorful attractions.
